K.J. Britt was teammates with Tom Brady on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
First-year New England Patriots LB K.J. Britt was teammates with Tom Brady on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Britt was drafted in 2021, the year after Brady led Tampa Bay to victory in Super Bowl LV against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Although Britt didn't win a championship with Brady, he still learned a lot from the NFL legend.
"He was prepared. He was fun to play with," Britt said, via Boston.com. "He commanded the field. When he took the field, he had an aura around him and it was like here we go. It was good. I was a young player then, so really didn't know. I thought that was the standard, but it was good to see."
With the Patriots and Buccaneers, Brady went to 10 Super Bowls and won seven championships, three MVPs and five Super Bowl MVPs. He finished his career with 89,214 passing yards and 649 passing touchdowns.
Brady is first in NFL history in passing yards, passing touchdowns and completions. He has more Super Bowl rings than any single NFL franchise.
There will never be another Brady. The NFL icon redefined what it means to be a winner. He went 251-82-0 in the regular season, 35-13 in the playoffs and 7-3 in the Super Bowl.
In Super Bowl LI against the Atlanta Falcons, the Patriots erased a 28-3 deficit and won 34-28 in overtime. Brady had 466 passing yards and two passing touchdowns in that incredible comeback win.
Robert Kraft and Bill Belichick didn't make the Hall of Fame this year, causing many to question whether Brady will make it in his first year of eligibility. Voters are still mad about Spygate and Deflategate, but Brady will probably be a first-ballot Hall of Famer since he is universally recognized as the GOAT.
The Las Vegas Raiders selected Fernando Mendoza with the first pick in this year's draft. Brady is a minority owner of the team, so he will work closely with Mendoza.
