Prunty had 23 solo tackles, two tackles for loss, one sack and one interception during the 2025 college football season.
Prunty went from Kansas to North Carolina A&T to Wake Forest during his college career. Let up just 25 catches on 52 targets for 330 yards with three touchdowns, one INT and six PBUs as a senior in 2025.
The Patriots entered the draft with 11 selections, headlined by the No. 31 pick of the first round. Eight of their selections are on the final day of the draft: two in the fourth round, one in the fifth, four in the sixth and one in the seventh.
New England lost to the Seattle Seahawks in the Super Bowl last season. The franchise is currently dealing with a major scandal.
Photos showed head coach Mike Vrabel hugging and holding hands with Dianna Russini at an adults-only hotel in Arizona. Vrabel and Russini, who are both married to other people, told the New York Post that the photos didn't accurately reflect their interaction.
However, after initially receiving support from The Athletic, Russini announced last week that she was resigning from her role at the outlet.
Vrabel is not with the team, as he's seeking counseling.

Vrabel, who has two sons with his wife, Jen, plans to be with his family this weekend outside of Massachusetts.
