New England Patriots star QB Drake Maye has made a huge change.

And the change has gone viral.

Maye shaved his head to raise money for charity, proving once again that he is a terrific human being.

Last week, Maye and his wife, Ann Michael, announced the creation of the MayeDay Family Foundation. Its mission is to provide children and families enduring hardship with assistance and support.

"Ann Michael and I are excited to launch the MayeDay Family Foundation to give back to the communities that have so strongly supported us," Maye said in a press release. "It's important for us to provide help for kids and families in need and we are looking forward to partnering with great organizations in New England and back home in North Carolina."

"We are really looking forward to hosting the Celebrity Softball Classic as our first foundation event," said Ann Michael. It's going to be a really fun night for families and all for a great cause."

The softball game will feature several of Maye's Patriots teammates and other celebrities and will include a home run derby, fireworks and other interactive family activities.

Tickets to the Celebrity Softball Classic start as low as $15 and can be purchased as of Tuesday, March 31.

The Patriots had a magical 2025 season. They won the AFC in Year 1 of the Mike Vrabel era and Year 2 of the Maye era.

Unfortunately, the Patriots lost to the Seattle Seahawks in the Super Bowl.

Despite losing to Seattle, New England has a bright future with Maye leading the way. After all, Maye was second in MVP voting last season and he's already one of the best players in the league while being on his rookie contract.

Maye finished the 2025 regular season with 4,394 passing yards and 31 passing touchdowns while completing 72.0% of his passes.

A UNC product, Maye finished the Super Bowl with 295 passing yards, two passing touchdowns and two interceptions. It's fair to wonder how he would have played against the Seahawks had he not gotten hurt against the Denver Broncos in the AFC Championship Game.

Let's see if the Patriots can get back to the Super Bowl next season and win it all in Year 2 of the Vrabel era and Year 3 of the Maye era.
