Drake Maye loves playing for Mike Vrabel.

New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel is the definition of a players' coach.

Players love playing for Vrabel because he played in the NFL and won multiple Super Bowls.

Vrabel knows how to talk to and relate to his players because he was a former star. That trait is something Patriots QB Drake Maye loves.

"He does a great job of relating to us, being able to talk as a player and now as a coach of his experience winning Super Bowls, his experience making the playoffs his first year with the Steelers," Maye said. "I remember we talked about in the beginning of the season, our stories and what kind of hopes we had. Our hopes were to win the big game and win the Super Bowl, and look where we're at now, and those hopes are coming to a reality.

"That's one of the coolest things I heard from him this morning, him relaying that to us, what we dreamed of as a little kid, wanting to watch the Super Bowl at a Super Bowl party, and now we’re the party. Coach does a great job of relating to us and relaying a message that hits home to all of us."

Vrabel won three Super Bowls as a star linebacker for the Patriots. He could become the first person in NFL history to also win as a head coach for the same franchise.

The Patriots face the Seattle Seahawks in the Super Bowl. It's a rematch of Super Bowl XLIX

"I won't win it. It'll be the players that'll win the game," Vrabel said. "I promise you, it won't be me that'll win it, and I promise you that I'll do everything I can, and our staff, to have them ready for the game."

The Patriots are one win away from winning the Super Bowl in Maye's second NFL season and in Vrabel's first season as head coach. It's been an incredible turnaround in New England.

Maye will play against the Seahawks despite dealing with a right shoulder injury. The UNC product injured his shoulder in the AFC Championship Game against the Denver Broncos.
