That's a pretty impressive amount of money for someone who didn't compete at the NCAA level.
As the seven rounds of the NFL Draft came to a close on Saturday night, many teams immediately jumped into signing undrafted free agents to their arsenal ahead of training camp in a few months.
The New England Patriots were one of those teams that wasted no time.
The Patriots brought in what they needed: some help on the offensive line, an edge rusher, a running back, a cornerback, and even a potential QB3.
They would save any wide receiver for this phase of things, it seems, and they would do it in an interesting fashion. WR Kyle Dixon signed a deal with the New England Patriots after the draft that included guarantees totaling around a quarter of a million dollars.
Dixon's contract has $252,500 in guarantees. Someone in Foxborough must really love this guy. For comparison, last season's UFA wideout Efton Chism III deal had $234k in guarantees.
Dixon played for Culver-Stockton College, located in Canton, Missouri. It's not even an NCAA school but rather a school that competes at the NAIA level.
Dixon seemed to make an impact at Missouri's pro day. A tall kid, who measures in at 6 foot 2, nearly 220 pounds, and posted a 40.5-inch vertical jump.
While at Culver-Stockton, Dixon was key in making plays on their offense. In 2026, Sixon caught 83 balls for 1,282 yards and 12 touchdowns. He would cap off his college career with 24 touchdowns, 143 receptions, and 2,394 yards.
Dixon enters a wide receiver room with the Patriots that has a lot of depth. Although there still could be a few names on the trade block as the weeks go on, as well as the looming A.J. Brown trade that may or may not happen. Dixon sure does come in with a lot of financial confidence if he can make it through training. camp.
