New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel doesn't want anyone else leading his team other than Drake Maye.

After the New England Patriots blew out the New York Jets on Sunday to clinch the AFC East, Mike Vrabel was asked about Drake Maye and the MVP Award.

As expected, Vrabel believes Maye is the MVP.

"Oh, well, I certainly, they don't give me a vote, but I would, there's nobody else that we want as our quarterback or that I want as our quarterback," Vrabel said. "And so to be able to do that and as the plays go through to progression, somebody asked me this week about progression and different things, I said, "Just throw to the guy that's open as soon as you work through your progression," and I think he did that. Some really good designs, but also some great execution."

Maye was incredible against the Jets. He went 19-21 through the air for 256 yards and five touchdowns.

Maye now has 4,203 passing yards and 30 passing touchdowns on the season.

"Coach said unfinished business," Maye said. "We want to go 8-0 on the road, that'd be something that we thought would be pretty cool. In this League, it's hard to win on the road and we accomplished that today. Just proud of the guys. We came out here, started fast and didn't stop from there. So, just proud of the guys. That was a good one to get under our belt. And we still have another week, next week, to get back at it.

"One thing is the play calling, I mean it's getting guys open. Guys run the right routes with the right at the top of the route, with the right feel for zone. I feel like I was throwing it pretty good and, from there, the guys up front keep on blocking their butts off and give me time to make plays and extend plays and find guys down the field."

The Patriots are 13-3 on the season. Their final game is against the Miami Dolphins.

Maye has 6,479 passing yards and 45 passing touchdowns in 29 games with the Patriots, who are Super Bowl contenders for the first time in the post-Tom Brady era.
