Patriots Named Team to Watch in OL Trade Rumors

The New England Patriots were able to come away with a massive win on Sunday against the Buffalo Bills on the road, salvaging the season a little.

When the team needed it most, quarterback Drake Maye stepped up to help deliver one of the more impressive victories of his young career. Maye looked more like the player that the Patriots were counting on entering the season, and it helped this group take down the Bills.

But going forward, the Patriots are going to need Maye to do more if this unit wants to get back to the Super Bowl. The New England offense has been somewhat of a mess this season, and part of that has been due to the play from the offensive line.

New England wants to have a physical front protecting Maye, giving this team a better chance to win games. But so far, it has been an issue and it could see the Patriots try to fix the solution, potentially via the trade market.

ESPN NFL insider Dan Graziano reported that the Patriots could be a team that looks to make a move for an offensive lineman this season. But the insider also mentioned that the demand for offensive linemen may outweigh the supply, making life tough for interested teams.

There could be a bidding war taking place at the trade deadline, and it remains to be seen if the Patriots could get involved. But for the team to win a title, something may need to be done to keep Maye upright.

New England could try to make something happen, and it would benefit the team moving forward. The Patriots understand that in order to find more success this season, Maye has to be given time to throw the ball.

Even with the offense not working to perfection so far, Maye has been much more effective when he has time. Maye still struggles when he is pressured, and this has seen him turn the ball over a ton this season.

The win over the Bills was just the start, and this group still has a ton of confidence that the season can turn around. New England sits at 2-2 on the year despite everything going against them, giving this team plenty of time to turn back into contenders.

Next up for the Patriots is a game against the Las Vegas Raiders, giving them a chance to earn a win in front of their home fans.
