Patriots quarterback Drake Maye is being recognized for his great season.

The New England Patriots have established themselves as one of the best teams in the NFL, tied for the best record in the league with the Denver Broncos at 11-2.

Second-year quarterback Drake Maye has been a major reason for the Patriots' turnaround this season. Maye has completed 71.5 percent of his passes for 3,412 yards, 23 touchdowns, and six interceptions.

The 23-year-old has rushed for 319 yards and two touchdowns on 81 rushing attempts.

Maye is in the MVP race against Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, and he has also become a fan favorite.

Maye leads all players in voting for the Pro Bowl. This is a great honor and shows that Maye is being recognized for his exceptional play this season.

He has established himself as one of the best quarterbacks in the league. A big part of Maye's progression came from the pieces that New England added this offseason.

They brought in Mike Vrabel as their head coach, and he has changed the culture. The Patriots also added key additions to the offense, drafting left tackle Will Campbell with the fourth overall pick and signing wide receiver Stefon Diggs in free agency.

Diggs leads the team in receiving as he's hauled in 64 receptions for 705 yards and three touchdowns.

The Patriots have also had some quality contributions from the rest of their weapons, as Hunter Henry, Kayshon Boutte, Mack Hollins, and DeMario Douglas have all eclipsed 400 yards.

Maye has been great at distributing the ball to his different weapons, making a balanced offensive attack.

The Patriots have a tough stretch ahead as they try to lock up the top seed in the AFC over the Denver Broncos. New England doesn't have an easy path ahead, as they face the Buffalo Bills and Baltimore Ravens in consecutive weeks. Their last two games of the season should be easier, against divisional opponents: the Miami Dolphins and the New York Jets.

To beat out the Broncos for the top seed in the AFC, the Patriots will need to win most, if not all, of these games. To accomplish that, they will need Maye to continue his MVP-caliber season.
