The New England Patriots have released an injury update for running back TreVeyon Henderson ahead of Week 1.
The New England Patriots will be without a key weapon in their offense as running back TreVeyon Henderson has been ruled out of their Week 1 matchup against the Seattle Seahawks.
Henderson hasn't practiced since August 24th and will be a major absence for New England's offense in the Super Bowl rematch.
In his rookie season in 2025, Henderson rushed for 911 yards and nine touchdowns on 180 carries, along with 35 receptions for 221 yards and a touchdown. He finished third in Offensive Rookie of the Year voting.
Henderson will be a key piece in the backfield alongside Rhamondre Stevenson in the 2026 season once he is healthy from his ankle injury. Stevenson will lead the rushing attack for the Patriots in their season opener after a solid 2025 campaign. The 28-year-old rushed for 603 yards and seven touchdowns while catching 32 passes for 345 yards and two touchdowns.

Brown had a quality 2025 season with the Eagles, finishing with 78 receptions for 1,003 yards and seven touchdowns. The 29-year-old wideout is one of the best players at his position and could have a career year catching passes from Drake Maye.
Maye was the runner-up for the MVP award in the 2025 season, as he completed 72 percent of his passes for 4,394 yards, 31 touchdowns, and eight interceptions while rushing for 450 yards and four touchdowns.
With Maye having improved weapons around him with Brown and free agency signing Romeo Doubs, the Patriots' offense is poised to be one of the best units in the NFL in the 2026 season.
New England will miss the presence of Henderson in their Week 1 game against the Seahawks, who dominated them in the Super Bowl, but the Patriots still have the talent to get a victory and will welcome Henderson's return to the field once he's healthy.
