The New England Patriots will be represented by cornerback Christian Gonzalez and quarterback Drake Maye at the 2026 Pro Bowl.

The NFL announced big New England Patriots news on Tuesday, as cornerback Christian Gonzalez and quarterback Drake Maye have made the 2026 Pro Bowl.

Gonzalez earns his first career Pro Bowl selection, while Maye is headed to the Pro Bowl for the second consecutive season.

The Patriots are 12-3. They are in first place in the AFC East.

With his 2025 Pro Bowl selection, Maye becomes the fourth quarterback in NFL history to begin his career with multiple consecutive Pro Bowl nods, joining Andrew Luck (three straight), Russell Wilson (four straight) and Dan Marino (five straight). He also joins Patriots Hall of Famers Mike Haynes (five straight) and Curtis Martin (two straight) as the only players in franchise history to open their Patriots careers with at least two Pro Bowl selections.

Meanwhile, Gonzalez is the first Patriots defensive back to earn Pro Bowl honors since cornerback J.C. Jackson in 2021.

This season, Gonzalez has started all 12 games in which he has appeared, recording 61 total tackles and 10 passes defensed. He's a big reason why the Patriots are seventh in the NFL in points per game allowed.

As for Maye, the UNC product has led one of the NFL's most efficient and explosive offenses, ranking first in the league in completion percentage (70.9), third in passer rating (108.5) and fourth in passing yards (3,947). The Patriots are seventh in the league in points per game.

"I'm so proud of this team," Maye said after the Patriots clinched a playoff spot. "It took everybody. That's what we knew coming into it. Our goal this week was to win together, and it was together. It felt good to get that one. Just props to these guys. [We] keep fighting. We had guys going down, guys coming in taking more plays than they probably have ever had, and guys getting tired from pushing through and defense stepping up making big plays and forcing fumbles.

"We talked about things all week, and we hit some of them. Obviously, there are some things that I'd like to have back, but right now, it feels good to get a win."

With Maye leading the way, the Patriots are Super Bowl contenders for the first time in the post-Tom Brady era.
