The New England Patriots could make a blockbuster trade with the Chicago Bears.

According to Jonathan Jones of CBS Sports, the New England Patriots could trade for a Chicago Bears star this offseason.

Jones reports that the Patriots could be a landing spot for Bears WR D.J. Moore.

"One Bears player plenty around the league are keeping an eye on is wide receiver D.J. Moore," Jones wrote. "The former first-round pick is coming off his least productive year of his career. The Patriots could be a landing spot for Moore if the Bears do a deal involving the receiver, or he could be part of a hypothetical package that goes to a needy Las Vegas team in a deal for Crosby.

"Moore is entering his ninth season in the league with a contract that runs until 2029, with his guaranteed money essentially running through the 2027 season."

Moore appeared in all 17 games for the Bears last season. He finished with 50 catches for 682 yards and six touchdowns.

Chicago signed Moore to a four-year, $110 million contract in the summer of 2024. The Maryland product was traded by the Carolina Panthers to the Bears in 2023.

Moore has 608 receptions for 8,213 yards and 41 touchdowns in the NFL. He turns 29 in April.

The Patriots lost to the Seattle Seahawks in Year 1 of the Mike Vrabel era. QB Drake Maye may need a new No. 1 WR next season since Stephon Diggs could get released this offseason. Moore has never made a Pro Bowl, but he's considered one of the top wideouts in the NFL.

It will be fascinating to see if the Patriots trade for Moore or Philadelphia Eagles star A.J. Brown, who played for Vrabel on the Tennessee Titans. New England is interested in trading for Brown.
