Brown is reportedly missing offseason workouts for the Eagles until his plans for next season are locked in.

The Monday morning breaking news in the NFL on Draft Week was that NFL insider Adam Schefter has it on good word that the Philadelphia Eagles will most likely be trading A.J. Brown away to the New England Patriots.

The trade is reportedly going to take place after the June 1st deadline, so the Eagles can avoid a massive cap hit and move forward with what many feel is a soft rebuild, despite winning the Super Bowl a little over a year ago.

Although there is no official word from either party, nobody expects any until June. One key tidbit of information makes it pretty clear that Brown is done in Philly.

In a brief report via Mike Garafolo of NFL Media, Brown will not partake in any offseason workouts with the Eagles at the moment.

This, of course, does not make things a solid lock, as there still needs to be more clarity on Brown's future in the NFL, no matter who he plays for, but it still only adds to the narrative that what's done is done for him as an Eagle.

Although it seems like a done deal, the Brown trade can still be a debatable topic about what the Eagles want vs. what they can get to move their star wide reciever. For the most part, many feel the Eagles will want a first-rounder. The trade will most likely go down after the draft, with many wondering if the Patriots will send a first-rounder in 2027 or 2028.

The Patriots have been looming in the conversation of a destination for him to be dealt to for months now. The rumors stem from his past with Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel. Teams like the Rams and Bills briefly entered and left the chat, but it's the Patriots that have been sitting there waiting for a deal to get done.

As optimistic as everyone around the league seems to be that this is a done deal, this has been an offseason in which we saw Maxx Crosby go to the Baltimore Ravens for a few days, then reportedly fail a physical and be sent back to the Las Vegas Raiders.

Yes, Brown will most likely be a Patriot on June 2, but anything can still happen.
