Hollins is known for his eccentric attire when he arrives at the stadium prior to a game.

It's a special afternoon for the New England Patriots. They're playing in their first AFC Championship game in six years. It's also a special day for wide receiver Mack Hollins, as the Patriots took him off IR this weekend and announced he was going to be back in action on Sunday.

Hollins has been a key component for the Patriots since signing with them back in March of 2025. At one point, he led the team in time spent on the field with 68%.

Hollins is, if you would, a warrior of sorts. He even thinks so. Case in point: his entrance to Empower Field this afternoon prior to the AFC Championship game. The Patriots wideout walked in with two three-glass bottles on his fingertips, shouting, "Warriors!!!" Come out to Play-ay!"

For anyone who has not caught on, Hollins' long hair, unnerving chant, and use of glass bottles come from the 1979 cult film The Warriors.

The film's premise centers on a turf battle between New York City gangs. When one gang (The Warriors) is targeted for killing a gang leader, they must cross enemy lines in order to get back to their own turf.

Hollins' wardrobe echoes that of actor Michael Beck in the film. The Warriors is a classic among cinephiles, and this just goes to show you how much of a movie buff Hollins really is. He's also highly motivated and eager to get back on the field.

Hollins has gone viral in the past for showing up to games in interesting outfits. He's often seen showing up barefoot before big games as well. The wideout's Super Bowl dreams were cut short last season when he was on the Buffalo Bills, who fell short against the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship game last year.

It seems that Hollins, and the Patriots for that matter, are in a similar scenario as the Warriors are in that film. If they want to return to their home turf victorious and punch their ticket to a Super Bowl. They're going to have to go into enemy territory (i.e., Denver, Colorado) and escape unscathed.

Time will tell if the Patriots can do just that.
