Las Vegas Raiders tight end Brock Bowers landed on the injury report just hours before the kickoff of a game agaisnt the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 4.
The Las Vegas Raiders are 3-0, and they enter Week 4 with a home game against the undefeated Kansas City Chiefs in a massive AFC West battle.
The Raiders have wins against the Miami Dolphins, Los Angeles Chargers and New Orleans Saints, and they now return to Allegiant Stadium after playing the last two weeks on the road.
In Week 3, tight end Brock Bowers broke out with 10 catches for 116 yards and a touchdown in his season debut.
Bowers missed the first two games due to a knee procedure, but he looked as good as can be in Week 3.
Bowers was expected to play in Week 4, but on Sunday morning, he landed on the injury report with an illness.
Still, Bowers' status hasn't changed, and all signs point to him playing in the game against Kansas City.
Bowers was limited on Friday's injury report, but not because of the illness, so this appears to be a brand-new issue that just occurred for the talented tight end.
Could it be a Brock Bowers flu game?
Everybody remembers the famous Michael Jordan flu game. With Bowers landed on the report with an illness, some are wondering if Bowers can have a similar breakout game in a huge spot against the Chiefs.
Bowers was the 13th overall pick by Las Vegas in 2024, and he had a monster rookie season, catching 112 passes for 1,194 yards with 5 touchdowns.
His second year wasn't as good, for many reasons. First, he played in 12 games due to injuries, and his totals were 64 catches for 680 yards and 7 touchdowns.
Second, the offense was not good with Chip Kelly calling plays before being fired, and Geno Smith turning the ball over quite a bit. The offensive line also wasn't a strong part for the Raiders, so there was a lot going against the offense in Las Vegas in 2025.
The OL has completely been revamped this season, and both of Kirk Cousins and Fernando Mendoza should be viewed as better QBs than Smith, at least with the way Smith played in 2025.
There's also no more Chip Kelly in Las Vegas, so all signs point to a monster season for Bowers, especially after a strong season debut in Week 3.
The Raiders and Chiefs play at 1:25 pm PT, and all signs point to Bowers playing despite the illness.
