The Raiders could catch a major break Sunday, with Rams receiver Puka Nacua questionable because of a calf injury and Davante Adams already sidelined.
The Las Vegas Raiders could face a significantly weakened Los Angeles Rams passing attack Sunday, with star receiver Puka Nacua's availability uncertain.
Nacua is officially questionable for the Week 7 matchup at Allegiant Stadium after leaving Thursday's practice early with a calf injury.
The Rams are already without Davante Adams, raising the possibility that quarterback Matthew Stafford could enter Sunday's game missing his top two receiving weapons.
According to the Rams' official injury report, Nacua was limited Thursday before sitting out Friday's practice entirely.
Coach Sean McVay characterized the injury as minor but acknowledged that Nacua was having difficulty generating his usual power and explosiveness.
The receiver is expected to be evaluated before Sunday's game, leaving his status uncertain until closer to kickoff.
That uncertainty could have significant implications for a Raiders defense attempting to rebound from its recent struggles.
Nacua has 37 receptions for 417 yards and one touchdown this season.
He also led the NFL with 129 receptions in 2025, finishing with 1,715 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns.
Adams, meanwhile, was placed on injured reserve after suffering a ruptured hamstring against Arizona last weekend. He is expected to miss six to 10 weeks.
Without both receivers, Stafford would have to rely more heavily on Jordan Whittington, Konata Mumpfield, Tutu Atwell and rookie CJ Daniels.
That group has considerably less experience and production than Los Angeles' established stars.
The potential absence comes at an important time for Las Vegas.
The Raiders have struggled defensively in recent weeks, including a disappointing performance against New England that raised questions about their ability to contain opposing passing attacks.
Their secondary has also undergone changes, with rookie cornerback Hezekiah Masses experiencing a reduced role despite his early success.
A depleted Rams receiving corps could give the Raiders' secondary an opportunity to regain confidence.
Los Angeles also listed cornerback Trent McDuffie as questionable with a groin injury and ruled out linebacker Nate Landman because of a concussion.
Those defensive absences could create additional opportunities for a Raiders offense that has been searching for more consistent production.
Still, Nacua's availability remains the biggest question.
If he cannot play, Las Vegas would avoid facing one of the NFL's most productive receivers at a time when its defense badly needs a stronger performance.
