Las Vegas plummets to last place in NFL power rankings, deemed "non-functional" after a disastrous offensive and defensive showing.
The Las Vegas Raiders are likely just waiting for this season to end.
The Pete Carroll-Chip Kelly experiment came to an end when Kely was fired as the offensive coordinator after just 11 games.
The Geno Smith trade and contract extension looks like the biggest mistake of the offseason, and there is a scenario where the Raiders don't win another game this season.
It has gone from bad to worse in Sin City, and now it is rock-bottom.
Eric Edholm of NFL.com had some new power rankings, and the Raiders moved from No. 31 to dead last.
"Look, Raiders fans, I'm sorry. I truly wish I knew what to tell you here -- that it will be all right eventually -- but I just can't in good conscience do that. I hate lying, and right now, this Las Vegas operation is just non-functional on the whole. That Geno Smith finished Sunday with one of his better passing totals of the season is truly remarkable. If you tuned into the game briefly, it's a safe bet you saw Geno getting blasted, with the veteran quarterback taking a whopping 10 sacks on the day. Add in a bushel of penalties and some horrendous tackling on defense, and it was just a putrid Raiders effort against the Browns. Las Vegas might need to ctrl-alt-delete this thing again in the offseason."
The Tennessee Titans, who are 1-10, moved past the Raiders despite losing on Sunday, which shows how bad things are for the silver and black.
They paid Chip Kelly $6 million a year to run the offense, and now he's still on the hook for two more seasons after not even lasting 17 games.
At some point, something has to change, but the 2025 NFL season is one the Raiders and the fans will want to throw away and forget about.
