Pass rusher Maxx Crosby's future with the Raiders remains uncertain. Despite trade speculation, the team insists he'll stay, but interest from multiple teams persists.

Once again, the Las Vegas Raiders have a new head coach with former Seattle Seahawks offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak coming to town.

The Raiders have plenty of questions, although it isn't a hard decision in regards to the top pick in the draft, and it should be Indiana Hoosiers quarterback and Heisman Trophy winner Fernando Mendoza.

One big question is regarding the future of pass rusher Maxx Crosby. Crosby has spent his entire career with the Raiders, but after being benched at the end of the season, Crosby was frustrated.

And, maybe a trade makes sense for both teams, although Raiders GM John Spytek insisted that he expects Crosby to be in Las Vegas when the season begins.

The Raiders' reported asking price for Crosby is also very high, which makes sense considering he is one of the best at his position.

ESPN's Jeremy Fowler gave an update on the Croby front, saying things are "somewhat quiet" on the trade front for the Raiders star.

Fowler also received some intel from one NFC executive: "I think the price is too high. I'm not sure they really want to move him at this point. But that could change."

So, there's that, but Fowler did say at least a dozen teams have shown interest in a Crosby deal, in some capacity.

Some are just exploratory conversations, while others are likely more serious, but as of now, it is relatively quiet.

In the 2025 offseason, Crosby signed a three-year contract extension worth $106.5 million, although he is very productive and worth that deal when he is healthy.

Crosby has 10 or more sacks in four of seven seasons in the NFL, and he had 14.5 sacks in 2023, which was a career-high.

Crosby is also a five-time Pro Bowler, and he turns 29 years old in August, so he should still produce at a high level as long as he can stay healthy.

The Raiders likely aren't a playoff team in 2026 due to so many changes, although there have been plenty of surprises in years past with first-year head coaches turning things around quickly (example, Mike Vrabel and the New England Patriots).

Crosby wants to win, especially after a frustrating tenure in Las Vegas, so he could go somewhere and play for a contender.

As of now, things are quiet, and it remains to be seen if the Raiders move on from Crosby or hold out a little longer.
