Giants star DT Dexter Lawrence requested a trade, and the Las Vegas Raiders are a landing spot, according to one NFL.com writer.

The Las Vegas Raiders are entering a new chapter with Klint Kubiak as the new head coach and Fernando Mendoza almost certainly set to be the new signal-caller in Sin City.

The Pete Carroll-Geno Smith-Chip Kelly era was a disaster and only lasted one season, and it's time for everyone to move on and focus on the future.

After a busy free agency period, the Raiders might not be done.

There is still a chance that Maxx Crosby is traded after the Baltimore Ravens backed out of a deal that would've sent two first-round picks to Las Vegas for Crosby.

New York Giants star defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence officially requested a trade earlier in the week, and he is a big name suddenly on the market with the 2026 NFL Draft just weeks away.

The potential return for Lawrence in a trade is reportedly a late first or a second-round pick, which isn't a bad price to pay.

Kevin Patra of NFL.com had some landing spots for Lawrence, and he named the Raiders as one of them.

"Vegas has a glaring need in the middle. Pairing Lawrence and Crosby would be a headache for opposing offenses. Even after their big spending, the Raiders still have money to play with to give the DT a raise and enough draft capital to pry Lawrence away while still filling other holes," Patra wrote.

Lawrence made the Pro Bowl three straight seasons before missing it in 2025, but he is a big force up front that should be a desirable trade target for many teams.

The Raiders are in a rebuild, but as Patra wrote, the free agency frenzy hinted that the Raiders are in a hurry to turn things around, so adding Lawrence would help expedite that timeline.

There is also a chance the Giants find ways to make things right with Lawrence, but it wouldn't be surprising to see them land a draft pick for the Pro Bowl star.

Other teams that make sense for a trade, according to Patra, are the Los Angeles Chargers, Houston Texans and Chicago Bears, with some others included, but the Raiders are a fun idea here.

If Crosby does get traded, and the Raiders land a draft pick or two, then they could flip a pick for Lawrence in a weird turn of events, but one that also wouldn't be a bad idea for Las Vegas.
