The Las Vegas Raiders got close to a win against Buffalo, but these players didn't help.

The Las Vegas Raiders fell just short of getting a win against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, and while they played a competitive game, no one is happy about what the outside world sees as a “moral victory” in giving the Bills all they could handle.

The Raiders had some players give good efforts, but there were also some fallers in this week’s stock report who contributed to the loss, and they’re among the fixes that need to happen for the Raiders to get back on track against the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday.

Jalen Nailor, WR

The Raiders second-biggest free agent signee on offense continues to be a disappointment. He’s rarely open, and he hasn’t been all that reliable when it comes to catching the ball, either. Tre Tucker is starting to show some potential as a deep threat, which should be opening up some room for Nailor to come open, but it’s not happening. It’s fair to wonder at this point if Nailor is a good fit for what Kubiak wants to do in this offensive scheme, and he’s officially on the clock when it comes to producing.

Ashton Jeanty, RB

Yeah, we’ve been here before with this one. Jeanty has his moments, but there aren’t enough of them, and now he’s banged up and playing hurt. You have to wonder how far Kubiak will go with staying with him given how many games the lack of a rushing attack is costing the Raiders, especially given the explosion that rookie running back Mike Washington is starting to show.

Interior defensive line

The Raiders did manage to get a couple of sacks against Josh Allen, but they certainly didn’t give James Cook III much to worry about. Cook shredded the defensive line when it mattered, and there were far too many runs where the running back  went multiple yards before facing even marginal contact. The Raiders have now allowed a remarkable 108 points in their last three games, and it might be a while before we see another win if they continue to follow that track defensively.

Tyler Linderbaum, C

Linderbaum started the season impressively, but he himself admitted that he didn’t play well against Buffalo, as the Bills were able control the line of scrimmage and stuff Jeanty almost every time he ran up the middle. Even worse, he was penalized on a tush-push play, which is the simplest play in the book, and he also admitted that can’t happen, either.
