Besides quarterback, which will be addressed with the first pick in the 2026 National Football League Draft, what don’t the Las Vegas Raiders need on their roster?
The Raiders are set with Ashton Jeanty at running back, Brock Bowers at tight end and Maxx Crosby at edge (though he is probably on his way out this offseason) but pretty much every other position is up for grabs.
Wide receiver became a real hole in the lineup once Jakobi Meyers was traded to the Jacksonville Jaguars, making it one of the most important position groups that the Raiders need to address this offseason. Last year, rookie second-round pick Jack Bech got a chance to prove what he could do in the absence of Meyers and when Bowers was hurt, but his chances were limited.
Bech should see an increase in targets during the 2026 season, but the Raiders need to add at least one WR to complement Bowers and Bech. Projected No. 1 pick, Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza, will need targets to throw to and going after a guy that can win in traffic will be useful for a QB that likes to let his receivers go up and get the ball.
ESPN’s Matt Bowen believes former Green Bay Packers WR Romeo Doubs fits that description well and would be a perfect addition to Las Vegas.
“His ability to uncover and work the heavy traffic areas of the field would be great for anticipated top pick Fernando Mendoza,” Bowen wrote Tuesday. “A reliable pass catcher, Doubs had 55 receptions for 724 yards with the Packers in 2025.”
2025 was Doubs’ best season, posting 13.2 yards per reception and a 64.7 catch percentage to go with six touchdowns in 16 games. He also had his lowest drop percentage (3.5), supporting the claim that his hands are elite.
The Packers have an abundance of receivers, so Doubs was expendable. But that doesn’t mean he isn’t skilled. As mentioned above, Doubs excels at winning one-on-one battles and has sneaky breakaway speed up-field.
He’s a well-rounded route runner who can play well at all levels of the field and is an exceptional blocker for a receiver, something that doesn’t go unnoticed.
Doubs isn’t known for his yards after the catch, but the Raiders won’t need to use him in that role. He is a great red zone target and could get a lot of his work in that area and on deep balls, creating a dynamic room of receiving threats that can operate in different spots.
