The Las Vegas Raiders-Maxx Crosby saga continues as the offseason heats up, meaning trade rumors are swirling.
General Manager John Spytek told reporters at the National Football League scouting combine last week that he expects Crosby to be a Raider in 2026, but considering a multitude of factors, it seems more likely that he will be on a new team next season.
On DraftKings Sportsbook, the Raiders have the second-best odds at +200 to be Crosby’s team next season, meaning the group believes a different team will have the two-time All-Pro’s services.
The Chicago Bears are the betting favorites at -145 as of Tuesday and Chicago does have assets to make a trade work. Given that the Raiders pretty much need everything besides a quarterback (drafting Fernando Mendoza with No. 1 pick), running back (Ashton Jeanty) and tight end (Brock Bowers, the Bears could arguably send the best trade package with wide receiver DJ Moore, linebacker Tremaine Edmunds and draft capital.
The Dallas Cowboys have the third-best odds at +850. Cowboys owner, president and GM Jerry Jones is ready to spend like there’s no tomorrow in an effort to win his fourth Super Bowl before he retires from old age. He sent star edge Micah Parsons to the Green Bay Packers for defensive tackle Kenny Clark and two first-round picks but immediately felt the absence of the star in 2025 as the Cowboys were tied for the fifth-fewest sacks (35) and the team missed the playoffs. Las Vegas reportedly wants a Parsons-like return for Crosby.
Three teams, the Buffalo Bills, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New England Patriots, are tied with +1200 odds. The Bills are in salary cap duress, which would make acquiring Crosby a lot tougher. Left tackle Dion Dawkins could be used in a trade to free up cap as well as draft picks, but Buffalo seems like a longshot. The Buccaneers could send WR Chris Godwin and draft capital, but the fit doesn’t compare to Chicago’s or Dallas’. I don’t see the Patriots fielding a competitive offer, but they have the space for him.
The Philadelphia Eagles have +1300 odds, followed by the Los Angeles Rams at +1600, San Francisco 49ers at +1800 and Detroit Lions at +2000. The Eagles always find themselves in the mix for the top stars and can always find a way to land them. The Rams have two first-rounders and enough cap space to take a run at Crosby, the Niners have a ton of draft capital, and the Lions need help opposite of star edge rusher Aidan Hutchinson but have minimal cap space to play with.
If the Raiders don’t keep Crosby, my guess is that he lands with the Bears. But with the recent retirement of Pro Bowl center Drew Dalman, the Bears may have to change their offseason plans.
