The Los Angeles Rams come out on top in a tough 24-20 battle against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday afternoon, so here are four takeaways from the game.

The Los Angeles Rams battled the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday afternoon, with the game being very tightly contested and ending with a 24-20 win for the Rams.

With that said, let's take a look at the top four takeaways from this game for the Rams during their dramatic 24-20 win over the Eagles.

Matthew Stafford Continues Turnover Issues

Quarterback Matthew Stafford threw two interceptions, which were both in the first half, adding to his inconsistencies this season thus far.

Stafford has thrown at least one interception in every game, which seems to point to the quarterback attempting to force plays instead of taking his time.

Having two interceptions in the first half on the road is not ideal, and moving forward, Stafford has to protect the ball much better or stronger teams will take full advantage of that fact.

Defensive Front Shows Out

The defensive front did a great job overall by constantly putting pressure on Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts as well as limiting the run game for Philadelphia.

The Rams sacked Hurts four times, hit him a total of seven times, and added four tackles for loss. Late in the game, the defensive line really stepped up as edge rusher Byron Young sacked Hurts twice on the final drive, which became too much for the Eagles to overcome.

The Rams did a solid job on the defensive side and made key plays when they absolutely needed to, which enabled them to pick up a key road win and prove that this defensive front is starting to gel the right way.

Special Teams Prove to be a Major Issue Again

While most of the focus is on the offense and defense for the Rams, the special teams had more issues yet again.

The Rams allowed a 41-yard punt return to Eagles wide receiver Britain Covey, which set up Philadelphia very well and enabled them to score a touchdown on the next drive. Additionally, kicker Harrison Mevis missed a 48-yard field goal.

Special teams play an important part in any football team, and the Rams cannot afford to have to address the unit this early in the season.

Offense Gets Going Late

Stafford did throw two interceptions, but that was coupled with the offense starting to click well later down the line. Nacua got heavily involved, and the team was able to move the chains well to get a much-needed fourth-quarter touchdown.

The Rams had just 10 points on the day, but they were able to move the ball very effectively in the final quarter. On the second-to-last drive, the Rams marched 98 yards in 3:27 and punched it in on a one-yard rushing touchdown by Williams to cut the lead to 201-7.

Los Angeles moved the ball 72 yards down the field, and Williams punched it in from seven yards out to give the Rams the 24-20 lead.

This was a game where the Rams did not look great throughout on the offensive side, but in the end, Stafford and the offense made the plays they needed to get the win and improve to 2-2.

Puka Nacua Excels in His Return

Rams had wide receiver Puka Nacua back in the lineup after he missed the last two games with a hop injury. In his return, the receiver put together an impressive performance.

Nacua had nine receptions for 125 yards on 12 targets and averaged 13.9 yards per reception, in addition to adding a two-yard rushing touchdown.

While it was tough for the Rams to move the ball, Nacua's ability to make contested catches was huge and helped to push the offense into its fourth-quarter winning drive.
