The Los Angeles Rams are moving to the NFC Championship, where they will face the Seattle Seahawks in what will decide the Super Bowl representative for the NFC, and decide the winner of both teams' three-game series against one another.
Los Angeles took down the Chicago Bears in a back-and-forth contest that could have gone either way.
The Rams started the game off with a huge interception, as Caleb Williams threw a pass that seemed to go right into the hands of cornerback Cobie Durant.
After some missed opportunities with incompletions from Stafford, the team began to move the chains with big gains to Puka Nacua and Colby Parkinson. Jordan Whittington got involved, especially with Tutu Atwell sidelined.
Stafford would hand it off for Kyren Williams to punch it in.
The Bears would fire back almost immediately, as a big 23-yard pass to Colson Loveland and a 20-yard rush from Kyle Monangai led to Caleb Williams and company also marching downfield.
After just entering the second quarter, the game would be tied 7-7.
The Rams and Bears would trade off on punts, while Chicago also lost the ball in a turnover on downs situation. A pair of field goals at the outset of the second quarter led to a 10-10 score.
The third quarter was much of the same, as defensively, the Bears and Rams stopped one another. Los Angeles once again had three punts, while the Bears had one, and Williams would throw his second interception of the game.
Heading into the fourth quarter, no team was able to outgain the other. After the initial punt from the Bears, the Rams began to gain ground.
A 35-yard bomb to Parkinson helped the Rams set up some dink-and-dunk passes to both Davante Adams and Nacua. Kyren once again pulled off some solid runs, and Los Angeles scored with a little under nine minutes left.
The Rams defense showed up imminently, forcing the second turnover on downs for the Bears.
Despite the Rams getting the ball back with three minutes left, they were forced to punt and gave the Bears good field placement.
As was the rest of the game, the Rams' defense continued to hold strong against Caleb's passing prowess. However, the Bears quarterback pulled off an unbelievable back foot hail mary to tie the game.
The Rams received the ball to start overtime, but they were stopped in a quick three-and-out with rush attempts by both Kyren and Blake Corum.
Chicago started off similarly, as the Rams' defense tightened up. However, Caleb pulled off a huge rush to secure the first down.
The Bears were marching downfield, and Caleb attempted to get the ball to Moore, which was picked off by Kam Curl.
A massive sideline grab from Adams helped to keep the Rams in overtime. Stafford began to move the chains with a pitch to Nacua, and Corum picked up decent yardage.
The Bears' defense held strong, stopping Terrance Ferguson from a would-be touchdown, but the Rams were able to get in position to kick the field goal. Los Angeles wins a thriller 20-17.
