Los Angeles Rams offensive lineman Alaric Jackson and Puka Nacua are expected to play in Week 1.

Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay had established that he would fly with every player out to Australia to prepare for their Week 1 showdown against the San Francisco 49ers.

Now, it has been reported that despite potential punishment from the NFL, both offensive lineman Alaric Jackson and wide receiver Puka Nacua are expected to play.

Both Jackson and Nacua are dealing with legal incidents regarding off-field issues, and the league has yet to announce whether one or both will face a suspension.

Nacua has a pending lawsuit related to an alleged incident that took place on New Year's Eve, where a woman has claimed that the Rams receiver bit her, leading to a significant injury.

Jackson was arrested on a domestic violence charge, related to an incident with a woman at the lineman's home. The arrest will not lead to felony charges, but this is the second incident that has occurred in recent years, and the last led to a two-game suspension.

With the Rams set to fly out on Wednesday for their matchup, it appears that McVay may have been given some information that pointed to him saying that both players will be ready to go.

Given the fact that Los Angeles is set to face off against a very tough opponent, having Nacua and Jackson for the game will be needed.

Aaron Donald and Myles Garrett Receive Updates

Additionally, McVay also offered some injury updates on both defensive ends, Aaron Donald and Myles Garrett.

Donald is less of an injury and more about ramping up to football shape.

McVay stated that Donald is practicing, but he will not know until Tuesday whether or not the defender will be ready to play in Week 1. Both the Rams' head coach and defensive end have spoken candidly about the need to ramp back up to football activities.

Donald was also placed on a special two-game exempt list, allowing him the time to not play in the first two games if he needs to reacclimate.

Garrett has been dealing with a knee issue throughout training camp and has missed practice. McVay did indicate that he would be back at practice this week to prepare for the 49ers, but there is no guarantee he will play in Week 1.

Not having Donald or Garrett on the field would be tough, but the Rams have the kind of defense that can withstand both of their debuts being delayed.

Not having Jackson or Nacua would be a different story entirely, though both are expected to suit up.
