The Los Angeles Rams trail only the Dallas Cowboys as the NFL's most valuable team.

For the third consecutive season, the Los Angeles Rams are the second most valuable NFL team.

The Rams trail only the Dallas Cowboys for the top spot in most valuable NFL franchises, with a valuation of $15.5 billion. Entering the 2026 season, the Rams are valued at $12.7 billion, an increase of 22 percent.

That 22 percent increase was slightly higher than the Cowboys' 21 percent growth last year.

The Rams jumped to the second spot in 2024, surpassing the New England Patriots at the time. Rounding out the top five are the New York Giants ($12 billion), the Patriots ($10.4 billion), and the New York Jets ($10.35 billion).

ESPN's Adam Schefter posted on social media that the average NFL team is now worth over $9 billion. This is up from the 2025 average of $7.13 billion.

Kroenke purchased the Rams in 2010 for the price of $750 million. He initially bought a 40 percent stake in 1995, and then purchased the remaining 60 percent in 2010 after exercising his right of first refusal to buy out the previous owners.

The 79-year-old has owned the Rams for the past 16 years, with 11 of those years in Los Angeles. The move has been far from cheap, but it's been worth every penny.

Even before the move was official, Kronke was laying the groundwork. In 2014, he secretly purchased a 300-acre parcel of land at the former Hollywood Park racetrack in Inglewood, California.

That purchase signaled his intent to build a massive sports and entertainment complex, which, of course, became SoFi Stadium.

SoFi Stadium cost an estimated $5.5 billion, making it the most expensive sports stadium ever constructed. Kroenke primarily funded the multi-billion-dollar project as part of the Hollywood Park development.

The stadium alone transformed the Rams and Kroenke in a major way.

Kroenke and his time in Los Angeles have been a sight to see. He led the Rams to a Super Bowl in 2022, in their own stadium, and he has a chance to do the same thing in 2027.

Kroenke and the front office have built a formidable squad with a strong chance to make a deep playoff run this season and possibly for years to come.

Since arriving in Los Angeles, they’ve become one of the premier and most innovative NFL franchises, with a 166-69 record.

Kroenke's financial backing has given Les Snead and Sean McVay the freedom to operate aggressively and creatively, helping transform the Rams into a franchise unlike any other.
