The Los Angeles Rams are bringing back tight end Tyler Higbee on a two-year deal.

The Los Angeles Rams have one of the strongest tight end rooms in the league, and it just got stronger.

Longtime Rams tight end Tyler Higbee was undecided about his playing future following the end of the 2025 season, but that indecision has now been wiped away. Los Angeles is bringing back the Super Bowl champion on a two-year, $8 million deal.

"Sources: The #Rams and TE Tyler Higbee have agreed to a two-year, $8M deal to keep him in Los Angeles for an 11th season and beyond, per his agent @ErikBurkhardt of @RocNationSports. Higbee remains a valuable player and leader for Sean McVay and the locker room as the Rams’ all-time leader among TEs in receptions, yards, and TDs," NFL insider Jordan Schultz wrote on X.

Higbee has been an integral part of the Rams' offense since his arrival in 2016. He has played every season with the team, securing the most receptions, yards, and touchdowns for the tight end position.

Unfortunately, Higbee suffered an ankle injury that kept him out for seven games, leaving him to secure 281 yards and three touchdowns in the regular season.

Higbee ultimately made his return in the postseason, bringing in four receptions for 84 yards.

With Colby Parkinson, Terrance Ferguson, and Davis Allen, the Rams are keeping their highly-touted tight end room intact.

It makes perfect sense that the team resigned Higbee, simply due to the leadership role he is in the locker room, and wanting that leadership and grit to be around for Matthew Stafford's potential final season.

Stafford announced his return to play at the NFL Honors, following his MVP win.

The Rams have also been busy in free agency already, pulling off a blockbuster trade for former Kansas City Chiefs All-Pro cornerback Trent McDuffie.

Considering the team was four points and a win away from the Super Bowl, general manager Les Snead and head coach Sean McVay likely did their best to convince Higbee to return for another run at the big show.

Expect the Rams to be plenty busy stacking more talent in the secondary, wide receiver, and offensive line to capitalize on Stafford's shrinking playing window. He could return in 2027, but 2026 should be the season the team goes all-in.

Similar to 2021, when the Rams brought in Jalen Ramsey and Von Miller, the Rams are expected to take some big swings to stack their roster in 2026. Re-signing Higbee is certainly one of those moves.
