Los Angeles Rams Trent McDuffie has been added to the injury report after suffering a significant groin injury.

The Los Angeles Rams have a concerning injury that has just been announced. Per head coach Sean McVay, cornerback Trent McDuffie suffered a reported full groin pull, which now has him questionable for Week 6.

McVay stated that McDuffie suffered a full groin pull on Thursday and that he will not be out at practice on Friday, per OC Register's Adam Grosbard. The silver lining to the news is that the cornerback has not been ruled out, but he is now questionable.

Losing McDuffie would be a huge hit to the Rams' defense, as he has proven to be as advertised in terms of his coverage prowess. Thus far through five games, the former Kansas City Chiefs corner is ranked third on Pro Football Focus with an overall grade of 85.2

McDuffie's 88.7 coverage grade also ranks second.

Los Angeles already had to deal with losing a cornerback when Jaylen Watson suffered a dislocated shoulder in Week 3. This led to him missing Week 4, but he was able to heal up and pulled off an interception in Week 5.

Watson would be the primary corner, and it may be Emmanuel Forbes Jr. also needing to step in again.

Fellow Rams cornerback Josh Wallace is also dealing with a shoulder injury, which has kept him limited through two practices thus far. Wallace is not in danger of missing the game, as he has not missed a practice, but he could be downgraded in the third and final injury report that is released on Friday.

Los Angeles currently sits at 2-3 this season, and they are now facing a divisional rival in the Arizona Cardinals. Despite the Cardinals having their own struggles, they are a rival that the Rams need to beat.

Doing so without the help of McDuffie may be difficult to do. A strong secondary will be needed to stop Cardinals quarterback Jacoby Brissett and his ability to get the ball to wide receiver Michael Wilson and tight end Trey McBride.

Again, McDuffie has not been ruled out just yet, but suffering a groin pull can often lead to multiple weeks out.

McVay is likely to make more of a determination about McDuffie's status on Saturday, or the team might also allow him to be a game-time decision. If the cornerback takes the field but cannot get through the pain his groin is causing, he will need to sit for this important Week 6 matchup.
