The Los Angeles Rams could be targeting this All-American cornerback after a pre-draft meeting.

The Los Angeles Rams hold two first-round picks in the upcoming 2026 NFL Draft.

With the No. 13 and No. 29 overall picks, Los Angeles has a ton of flexibility heading into the first round of the draft. They could package one of those selections for a proven veteran, or they could stand pat and add two young, high-upside prospects to the roster.

The latter seems more likely, especially given the team’s need at cornerback. Outside of special teams, it was arguably the roster’s most glaring weakness last season. If the Rams stay put, addressing the secondary should be near the top of their priority list.

It's no secret the Rams need to address that spot, and a young prospect who could do wonders for them is All-American cornerback Mansoor Delane. According to NFL and College Football analyst Ryan Fowler, the Rams and Delane have formally met.

Delane also spoke with the media on Thursday and provided insight into the type of player he is ahead of the draft.

"I would want to be a sponge, I just want to learn from guys like that," Delane said. "That's the biggest thing for me. I like to surround myself with high-caliber talent that I just soak up, I try to bring and add new things to my game. I love to be a part of something with high-caliber players."

Delane is projected to be a difference maker on the defensive end. According to NFL analyst Lance Zierlein, Delane is one of the top cornerbacks in the draft who excels in press coverage, altering release timing with punches and slides.

He also added that Delane has smooth hips and efficient footwork, keeping him connected in man coverage, while his processing allows for quick transitions in off-man and short zone looks.

The 22-year-old played one season at LSU and the other three at Virginia Tech. In his collegiate career, Delane was named to the third-team All-ACC in 2024 and was named to the First-team All-SEC and a Unanimous All-American in 2025.

One AFC scout spoke highly of Delane's play.

“His coverage is very mature. He’ll be one of the top 10 to 12 corners pretty quick.”

The Rams have four cornerbacks who will be unrestricted free agents in a few weeks, including Cobie Durant, Ahkello Witherspoon, Derion Kendrick and Roger McCreary.

The likelihood of L.A. bringing back all four is slim. With that in mind, the Rams could use both of their first-round picks to address the position — potentially drafting two cornerbacks to solidify the secondary for the long term.
