Rams elevate two players for Wild Card matchup with Panthers cover image

The Los Angeles Rams have elevated two players for their showdown with the Carolina Panthers on Saturday.

Ahead of their Wild Card matchup with the Carolina Panthers, the Los Angeles Rams have elevated two players from the practice squad.

Linebacker Nick Hampton and safety Tanner Ingle have once again been brought up from the practice squad for the game.

This is the second elevation for Hampton, after he was re-signed to the practice squad on Dec. 10. This is Ingle's third standard elevation.

With the Rams ensuring they have depth for the game, they are heading into their matchup with a relatively clean injury report. Offensive lineman Kevin Dotson was ruled out due to his nagging ankle injury, and Jordan Whittington was ruled out due to a knee injury.

Whittington was initially questionable, but he was ruled out ahead of the final injury report release.

Tight end Terrance Ferguson and cornerback Josh Wallace are the only other two questionable players for the game. Rams head coach Sean McVay indicated both would practice on Thursday to determine their availability, and they may still be made inactive ahead of the game.

Apart from that, the Rams are getting back big boosts on both sides of the ball, as Davante Adams is returning. Adams re-aggravated his hamstring injury, which kept him sidelined for the past five games.

Adams spoke to the media regarding his lost time, stating that he had to deal with the mental anguish of not being able to be out on the field with the team during the last regular season stretch. It was also indicated he could have played against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 18, but sat out another week to get fully healthy.

Team captain and safety Quentin Lake is also returning after missing several games due to an elbow injury. While he returned to practice ahead of Week 18, McVay indicated he would be ready to go for this Wild Card matchup.

McVay chose not to rest starters in the season finale, favoring more of a momentum style of ending the season, which may benefit the players.

The Rams ended the 2025 season on a dominant note, handily beating the Cardinals with a 37-20 final score. They can now use that as an opportunity to continue against the Panthers in their first playoff game of the season.
