The Los Angeles Rams reportedly explored a possible trade involving Philadelphia Eagles star wide receiver A.J. Brown.

The Los Angeles Rams were reportedly exploring a trade that could have potentially landed them All-Pro wide receiver A.J. Brown.

NFL senior insider Dianna Russini shared the news via X.

The Rams have since moved on from potentially acquiring Brown.

Russini also added that Philadelphia's price is a steep one, which may have caused the Rams to move on. However, other teams remain in the mix for the Pro Bowl pass catcher, like the New England Patriots and the Los Angeles Chargers.

Although there have been reports that Brown is frustrated and unhappy with the Eagles, the team has not shown any intention to trade him. Nonetheless, may still do what they can to acquire him.

L.A.'s need for a pass catcher is far from a pressing need. The Rams have Puka Nacua and Davante Adams on the roster. They established themselves as a top duo in 2025, and the numbers proved that. Nacua proved that he is among the best, if not the best, wide receiver in the league.

And at 33 years old, Adams proved that he still has some left in the tank. The All-Pro wide receiver led the league in touchdown receptions, but injuries towards the end of the season derailed him.

The Rams need depth rather than another star pass catcher. They could certainly do that in the draft, as they hold the No. 13 overall pick in April's draft or in free agency.

Los Angeles will have options to improve their pass-catching group, and the draft could be an excellent way to do so. From USC's Makai Lemon, Washington's Denzel Boston, and Ohio State's Carnell Tate, the Rams will have options to choose from with their top pick in the first round.

As far as the free agents go, L.A. has plenty to choose from, like Alec Pierce, Jauan Jennings, Rashid Shaheed, and Wan'Dale Robinson, to name a few. The biggest need for L.A. is to find a reliable wide receiver who complements Nacua and Adams.

Although Adams' future in L.A. is a bit murky, barring anything catastrophic, he will remain in the horns for 2026.

The Rams will do all they can to build a squad to be the last team standing in the upcoming season. Les Snead and Sean McVay have a plan in place, and while acquiring Brown didn't work out, the Rams have plenty up their sleeve to build a formidable squad.
