Rams final injury report for Divisional Round has plenty of good news cover image

The final injury report for the Los Angeles Rams vs. the Chicago Bears contains tons of good news.

Heading into the Wild Card Round, the Los Angeles Rams were without offensive lineman Kevin Dotson, wide receiver Jordan Whittington, and tight end Terrance Ferguson.

Now, the team's final injury report for their Divisional Round against the Chicago Bears contains some good news.

In terms of Dotson, Whittington, and Ferguson, all three will be ready and will play against the Bears.

Per Stu Jackson of therams.com, Rams head coach Sean McVay spoke about how important it is to get Dotson back after an ankle injury knocked him out for multiple games.

"It means a lot (to have him back)," McVay said. "And I think what's great is, like we've talked about, Justin Dedich has done an amazing job. I think there's been a lot of guys that, when they've been asked to step up, they've delivered. And been really proud of the depth of the group that we have, and then to be able to get a physical player, his energy, his swag, his presence is excellent for us. And so do feel a lot of confidence in Justin, but the expectation and the anticipation is Kevin's going to be ready to go and start."

McVay also indicated that Whittington and Ferguson have no injury status for the Bears showdown. Whittington suffered a knee injury in Week 18, while Ferguson was hit with a hamstring injury during practice ahead of the season finale.

The only two concerns on the injury report currently are backup quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo and defensive end Desjuan Johnson.

Garoppolo is dealing with back soreness, while Johnson emerged on the injury report with an illness. McVay indicated both should be fine to play.

Defensive Tackle Poona Ford emerged on the injury report with an elbow ailment, but has since been upgraded to a full participant. Matthew Stafford is also dealing with a finger injury, but he stated earlier in the week that it will not affect his ability to throw the ball.

Stafford will also not wear a brace of any kind despite the finger being sprained.

Cornerback Josh Wallace also returns after suffering from an ankle injury. He practiced all week in full. His timing in returning couldn't be more perfect, as Askhello Witherspoon was placed on IR.

Witherspoon suffered a re-aggravation of the shoulder that knocked him out in the regular season, and he will miss the remainder of the playoffs.

The Rams are still heading into the matchup with a hugely healthy roster, and that will benefit them greatly as they seek to beat the Bears and head to the NFC Championship.
