Rams finalize inactives, two offensive linemen ruled out cover image

The Los Angeles Rams have ruled out Davante Adams, plus two offensive linemen, ahead of their matchup with the Atlanta Falcons.

The Los Angeles Rams are heading into their matchup with the Atlanta Falcons with a mostly-healthy team. However, the inactive list has come out, which contains a concerning number of offensive linemen.

At the top of the list is wide receiver Davante Adams. Adams being ruled out is not a surprise, as his re-aggravated hamstring injury has kept him out for the past two games.

It would also not be shocking if Sean McVay shuts down the star receiver for the Week 18 regular season finale.

Joining Adams is running back Jarquez Hunter and cornerback Josh Wallace. Wallace was previously ruled out by McVay, as was offensive lineman Kevin Dotson.

Dotson has an ankle injury that kept him out of practice most of the week. Wallace has been dealing with an ankle injury that kept him out of practice and this Week 18 game.

The Rams were hoping that Alaric Jackson could suit up, but that wasn't the case. He has been dealing with a knee injury that kept him out of practice on Thursday and Friday. After being upgraded to a limited participant on Saturday, he has been sidelined.

Los Angeles made multiple practice squad elevations to prepare for the matchup, one being the addition of an offensive lineman.

AJ Arcuri was elevated from the practice squad, along with safety Tanner Ingle. Naturally, Arcuri is the team's depth elevation with both Dotson and Jackson being ruled out. Ingle is likely also replacing Wallace.

The Rams also activated cornerback Roger McCreary. McCreary has been on IR due to a groin injury, but he is now ready to play.

There is not much else left to play for the Rams, apart from the Atlanta Falcons' record, leading to a better first-round pick for Los Angeles.

After a trade with the Falcons for the 2025 NFL Draft, the Rams hold their first-round pick, along with their own. That current Falcons pick is at No. 11, and go rise if Atlanta loses their final two games.

The Rams are out of the running for the NFC West and the conference title, so it would not be the least bit shocking if McVay chooses to rest starters in Week 18. For now, everyone will be ready to take on the Falcons.

Matthew Stafford may secure MVP status with a strong performance against the Falcons, and could potentially do the same by playing in Week 18. However, resting starters might be the play as well.
