Rams first injury report for NFC Championship contains mostly-healthy roster cover image

The Los Angeles Rams have revealed their first injury report for the NFC Championship, and it has mostly good news.

The Los Angeles Rams headed into the Divisional Round with a mostly healthy roster, and that good health standing has now carried over into the first injury report for the NFC Championship.

On top of only having four players on the report thus far, the majority of those players are also expected to play.

At the top of the injury report is safety Quentin Lake. He did not practice due to an illness, and that would likely be the only concern thus far.

Rams head coach Sean McVay is likely to reveal Lake's status later on Wednesday night.

Cornerback Emmanuel Forbes Jr. is also on the injury report with a shoulder injury, which knocked him out of the Divisional Round against the Chicago Bears. McVay indicated that Forbes dinged his shoulder, but is still expected to play on Sunday.

The same can be said for linebacker Byron Young. Young has been experiencing "knee soreness," and McVay revealed that the team would take things a bit more slowly with him through the course of this week.

Young may miss more than just Wednesday's practice, but he appears not be in danger of missing the NFC Championship.

Linebacker Josaiah Stewart is also dealing with a knee injury, but he was a full participant during practice.

Those are the only players on the injury report thus far, and things may change as practice creeps on this week. Expect Young to potentially be out on Thursday, and Lake may also miss practice due to his illness.

Other than that, it does appear that the Rams roster will once again be mostly healthy

The NFC Championship will be a tough game for both the Rams and the Seattle Seahawks. The pair of divisional rivals have defenses that have been highly rated through the regular season and playoffs.

Both teams have offenses that can stretch the field, and the two best receivers in the NFL are Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Puka Nacua.

Expect the Rams to heavily lean on their tight end group to help add extra blockers and develop the ground game with Kyren Williams and Blake Corum.

The Rams and Seahawks also split the series 1-1 during the regular season, and both games were decided by a field goal or less. This could end up being one of the most exciting games of the 2025 season, and it appears the Rams will be very healthy for the matchup.
