Rams have promising injury report ahead of Divisional Round cover image

The Los Angeles Rams have updated their injury report heading into the Divisional Round against the Chicago Bears, and things are looking promising.

After a triumphant 34-31 victory over the Carolina Panthers, the Los Angeles Rams are ready to face off against quarterback Caleb Williams and the Chicago Bears in the Divisional Round. And if their injury report is anything to go off of, things are looking promising.

One of the biggest questions after the game against the Panthers was quarterback Matthew Stafford, who suffered a sprained finger. Fortunately, he has been a full participant in practice on Wednesday and Thursday, meaning Stafford will be more than ready on Sunday.

Stafford has had an MVP-caliber season, completing 388 passes for 4707 yards, 46 touchdowns, and only eight interceptions. He led the league in passing yards, passing touchdowns, passing first downs, and passing yards per game.

Stafford continued his dominant play against the Panthers in the Wild Card round. He completed 24 of 42 passes for 304 yards, three touchdowns, and an interception.

Additionally, nose tackle Poona Ford has been upgraded from limited participation on Wednesday to full participation on Thursday. This means he will most likely be ready to play this Sunday.

Ford has been one of the top defensive players for the Rams, recording 47 combined tackles (19 solo), five quarterback hits, four tackles for loss, two sacks, and a pass defended this season.

Finally, offensive lineman Kevin Dotson remained limited in practice on Thursday. However, Dotson and the team are optimistic that he will be able to play against the Bears.

"It's one of those things that's day-by-day, but it's feeling great every day," Dotson said, per Stu Jackson of TheRams.com. "It's feeling way, way better compared to what it was at the beginning, so I'm ready to try it out at least."

"He's (Dotson) making great progress," Rams head coach Sean McVay said, per Jackson. "I was really encouraged. I thought he had a great week last week, optimistic about what that looks like for this week. Been proud as hell of how (offensive lineman) Justin Dedich has battled, but the expectation's, and I know Kevin's preparing, to go play this week, and we're going to really push that thing and see how he feels with the optimism that there's a good chance that he makes it."

Other players listed on the injury report were wide receiver Xavier Smith (wrist), cornerback Josh Wallace (ankle), tight end Terrance Ferguson (Hamstring), safety Quentin Lake (Foot), wide receiver Jordan Whittington (Knee), and back up quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo (back).

Each of these players was a full participant in Thursday's practice except for Garoppolo, who did not practice.
