Following the thrilling overtime win for the Los Angeles Rams, they are now set to prepare for their NFC Championship matchup with the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday.
The good news for the Rams is that the entire roster mostly remains unscathed in terms of injuries.
Cornerback Emmanuel Forbes Jr. suffered a shoulder injury, and linebacker Byron Young is dealing with some knee soreness.
Rams head coach Sean McVay spoke about both on Monday, revealing that there is little concern for either being ready to play against the Seahawks.
"Came out good. Forbes got his shoulder a little bit. I think he's gonna be good, after talking to Reggie this morning. BY had some soreness in his knee. We might be smart with him throughout the week, but neither of those things is expected to affect those guys' availability," McVay said.
The Rams had a mostly healthy roster going into the game against the Chicago Bears, and only having to deal with Forbes getting banged up in the game is a big plus.
Young's knee soreness is a concern, and McVay indicated they plan to be "smart" with him this week. That would likely mean that he may be sat in one or two days, or quite possibly be limited throughout the week.
Considering only two players have an injury concern, it bodes well for the Rams being prepared to take on their divisional rivals.
After two meetings in the regular season, the Rams and Seahawks have split the series 1-1. Even more impressive is that the stats for both teams are nearly identical in terms of the first two meetings.
Per Field Yates, the Rams scored 58 points, and the Seahawks scored 57 points in their first two meetings.
The Rams also had a total of 830 yards, and the Seahawks had 829 yards.
The first outing saw the Rams win 21-19, and the second had the Seahawks winning 38-37.
Simply put, the pair of divisional rivals have taken one another on in as even a match as it can get. This could be anyone's game, and the Rams remain mostly healthy.
Oddly enough, wide receiver Tutu Atwell was a healthy scratch during the Divisional Round, and McVay indicated that it was due to the number of receivers they currently have.
Atwell may also not be active for the NFC Championship, but that can change based on injuries and other factors throughout this week of practice.
For now, the Rams will once again have a mostly healthy roster heading into the most important game for the playoffs.
