The Los Angeles Rams have met with one of the more versatile pass catchers in the draft, Vanderbilt's Eli Stowers.

The Los Angeles Rams will enter the 2026 season as arguably the best team in football. The Rams have all the tools they need to be the last team standing at the conclusion of the upcoming season.

Still, while that could be the case, they still have a long way to go to build a squad they know could get the job done. The Rams have built an incredible squad via free agency, and the next step will be the draft.

Los Angeles holds seven picks in this month's draft, including their highly coveted 13th overall pick that they acquired from the Atlanta Falcons last year. They will have multiple opportunities to find a dynamic playmaker on either side of the ball.

The Rams are weighing all their options in the draft, and one player they appear to be fond of is Vanderbilt tight end Eli Stowers.

According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, the Rams met with Stowers.

Stowers also met with the Tennessee Titans and Dallas Cowboys. Rapoport mentioned how Stower is scheduled to meet with the Denver Broncos next week.

The senior pass catcher is one of the more versatile playmakers who is being scouted as both a wide receiver and a tight end. Standing at 6-foot-4 and weighing 239 pounds, Stowers transitoned form a four-star quarterback in high school to a dynamic tight end at the college level.

In 2025, Stowers won the 2025 John Mackey Award as the nation’s top tight end this past season for Vanderbilt. During his final season at Vanderbilt, Stowers collected 62 receptions for 769 yards, four touchdowns and averaged 64.1 yards per game in 12 games.

Stowers was named an All-American in his final college season. The 22-year-old is projected to be a late second-round pick. According to NFL Draft Buzz, he is ranked 51st overall in this year's draft class and the No. 2 tight end in the class.

Although the Rams don’t necessarily need more depth at tight end, Stowers has the potential to be their most dynamic option.

The Texas native brings an intriguing skill set to the next level, showcasing the ability to stretch the seam with legitimate speed, forcing safeties to account for his vertical threat. He also displays soft, reliable hands, adjusts well to off-target throws and tight coverage, and boasts an outstanding catch radius thanks to his length and impressive leaping ability.

If the Rams decide to take a chance on Stowers, it would certainly give the Rams offense a dangerous mismatch tool alongside Puka Nacua, Davante Adams and fellow tight end Terrance Ferguson.
