The Los Angeles Rams offense did not receive a top ranking in the latest 2026 outlook.

The Los Angeles Rams are expected to be one of the top teams in the NFL in 2026, which is due to the Pro Bowl and All-Pro talent on both sides of the ball. However, it appears that not everyone thinks the team should reign supreme offensively.

According to ESPN's Bill Barnwell, the Rams have been ranked second in the league for their current wide receiver, running back, and tight end units.

Initially, Barnwell points to what everyone understands in the league, which is that Puka Nacua is one of the most complete, if not the most complete, receiver.

"Nacua makes the Rams' offense work with his ability to block and all the play-action concepts that open up as a result, but he hit new heights as a receiver in 2025, particularly working downfield. He also added 105 rushing yards and a touchdown on the ground for good measure. Nacua is the most complete receiver in the game," Barnwell wrote.

Nacua led the league with 129 receptions, which he turned into 1,715 yards and 10 touchdowns. The already ascendant receiver continues to showcase why he is one of the most dangerous at his position.

While Nacua continues to rise, the age and health issues of Davante Adams are well-documented. However, he still led the league with 14 touchdowns.

"Davante Adams was limited to 14 games by a late-season hamstring issue. We didn't see the Adams of old in 2025, but we got a player who became virtually unstoppable near the goal line," Barnwell wrote.

The Rams still have a strong one-two combo with Nacua and Adams in the building, even if the latter might be utilized more as the secondary option. Regardless, he proved to be a huge red zone threat in 2025, which should continue in 2026.

This is not to mention the running back room that is comprised of Kyren Williams and Blake Corum. Both have found a way to complement one another, and Corum produces plenty in his somewhat rotational role.

Williams brought in 1,533 yards and 13 touchdowns from scrimmage, while Corum had 786 yards and six touchdowns. They should return to a similar form in 2026.

Leaving the tight end room for last, which Barnwell did not mention, is also stacked with Colby Parkinson, Tyler Higbee, Terrance Ferguson, and Max Klare. The Rams were solid in 13-personnel and will likely utilize it again.

It will be interesting to see if Parkinson remains the top man or if Higbee can push him for more reps. Either way, it's a room that is full of solid pass catching and blocking options.

It is a bit strange that Barnwell would not give the Rams the top rank, which he did give to the Detroit Lions. These lists are subjective, and Los Angeles still has a second-ranked offense, according to the analyst.

The Rams putting it all together in 2026 is all that matters, and that won't start to take shape until training camp starts at the end of July.
