Though the Los Angeles Rams have the playoffs and a matchup with the Carolina Panthers to look forward to, the team has already received their 2026 opponents.
To start things off, the Rams will get nine home games, and eight away.
Naturally, they will play their own division twice, meaning matchups with the San Francisco 49ers, Arizona Cardinals, and Seattle Seahawks will occur at home and away.
Moving into the home opponents, the Rams will take on the NFC East, which will see the team face the New York Giants and Dallas Cowboys at home. Conversely, they will face the Washington Commanders and the Philadelphia Eagles on the road.
Rounding out the home opponents, the Rams will face the Green Bay Packers, Buffalo Bills, Los Angeles Chargers, and Kansas City Chiefs.
The away opponents will be the previously mentioned Commanders and Eagles, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Las Vegas Raiders, and the Denver Broncos.
Apart from the NFC East, Los Angeles will also face the AFC West in 2026.
The full 2026 season schedule is months away, but the Rams can already start thinking about the strength of their schedule.
Seven of their 17 opponents are all playoff teams: the Seahawks, 49ers, Packers, Bills, Chargers, Eagles, and Broncos have all punched their ticket to the postseason.
Of the remaining opponents, not one notched a winning record in 2025. The closest to a winning record was the Buccaneers at 8-9, and the Cowboys at 7-9-1.
Simply put, the Rams are set to face a good amount of current playoff teams, mixed with a nearly halved amount of teams that underperformed.
Every season does bring something different, so any one of the opponents listed that were not successful or didn't make the playoffs could do so in 2026.
Matthew Stafford is expected back for 2026, and should he win the MVP and Super Bowl, the Rams could use that momentum to carry over into a successful repeat season.
Los Angeles is also set up nicely in the first round of the draft, as they currently own the Atlanta Falcons' pick at No. 13 overall, plus an additional one that could fluctuate in the mid to low 20s or low 30s, depending on the results of the playoffs.
