The Los Angeles Rams have officially signed offensive lineman Keagen Trost and wide receiver CJ Daniels.
The Los Angeles Rams had a quiet draft, as the team only brought in five draft picks through seven rounds. Though they also signed a wealth of UDFAs, not many of their actual draft picks have been signed.
That was until Monday, when the Rams officially signed two of their draft picks. Per the official NFL team transactions, it has been revealed that third-round pick and offensive lineman Keagen Trost and sixth-round wide receiver CJ Daniels have both signed deals.
Trost was drafted No. 97 overall out of Missouri, and figures to be a huge swing tackle depth piece behind Alaric Jackson and Warren McLendon Jr.
The Rams have had one of the best lines in the league, but injuries have also popped up in recent years, especially in 2024 when the team started 1-4 due to practically every starter being injured or suspended.
Both Kevin Dotson and Steve Avila missed a game in 2025, and Trost may be viewed as a lineman who can be built up as a backup guard as well. At 6-foot-4 and 316 pounds, he has the size and run-blocking abilities to move to the inside if needed.
Additionally, the Rams also signed Daniels, their lone pass catcher that the team traded two seventh-round picks to move up and select. Daniels was taken at No. 197 out of Miami.
There were strong beliefs that Los Angeles would target a receiver in the first round, but that pick was used to select Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson. Even in the second, the Rams surprised everyone by bringing in Ohio State tight end Max Klare.
Daniels was the lone selection in the sixth, and he could be viewed as a developmental pass catcher who can excel in contested catch situations. He posted an 80 percent success rate in 2025, though he only played 230 offensive snaps.
Daniels turned that contested catch percentage and snaps into 557 yards and seven touchdowns.
With a stacked room that includes Puka Nacua and Davante Adams, Daniels could be the depth piece who learns under both to emerge as a solid playmaker with time and refinement of his skills.
The Rams still need to see what they have in Xavier Smith and Konata Mumpfield, unless Daniels showcases a huge jump in his skills when training camp and preseason roll around.
Either way, they are the first two of the Rams draftees that have been signed, and are now on the books for the 2026 season.
