A reminder of the opponents the Los Angeles Rams will face, plus their official strength of schedule placement for the 2026 NFL season.

The Los Angeles Rams are looking to continue their success from the 2025 season, where they made it all the way to the NFC Championship. Despite being bested by their divisional rival, the Seattle Seahawks, the team looks to be in the shape to go on a deep run again.

Matthew Stafford's return only bolstered the Rams' chances. Here is a look at the opponents and official strength of schedule ahead of the full schedule release on May 14.

Per the NFL's official social media, the Rams' upcoming opponents have a collective .516 win percentage from the 2025 season. This places Los Angeles at No. 13 in terms of schedule strength, which isn't the worst place to be.

Breaking Down Ideal Schedule Situations

There are some strong opponents to think about, but more so depending on when the Rams take each team on. It has already been established that Week 1 will feature Los Angeles taking on the 49ers in Australia, but nothing else has been revealed just yet.

Taking on divisional opponents early on could be a benefit, as most teams can sometimes start off slow before hitting their stride.

In 2025, the Rams played the 49ers to start the season, and the second showdown was in the middle. The Seahawks games were near the end, as were the games against the Cardinals.

Los Angeles taking on San Francisco in Week 1 could bode well, especially if they take down their division rivals to begin things. That also does not necessarily mean that they will not play the 49ers again early on, as they did in 2025.

Some additional opponents that may be more beneficial to start the season are the Bills, Packers, Chiefs, Chargers, and Broncos. Again, there is no perfect way to predict what teams may start slow, and there is a strong chance that many can also beat the Rams, as they also hope to start strong and establish their identity early.

A lot has to go right for any team to make it all the way to the Super Bowl, but the Rams are poised to be a favorite due to the strength of the roster. Their opponents could pose some strong challenges, but overall, the strength of schedule is a benefit.
