The Los Angeles Rams will rotate Kyren Williams and Black Corum out due to a major reason.

The Los Angeles Rams will look to bounce back in Week 14 against the divisional rival Arizona Cardinals. They can do so by establishing their great run game.

Kyren Williams and Blake Corum split carries due to Williams suffering an ankle injury against the Carolina Panthers, which led to Corum breaking out with an 81-yard and one-touchdown performance. Now, it appears splitting carries will be by design moving forward.

The Rams should have no issues making the playoffs, but the health of players will be paramount to the team's success. Especially when it comes to the run game. If Williams and Corum can produce in the manner they did against the Panthers, any team will have a hard time stopping both.

Considering the success that Corum had with more touches, the Rams are now leaning towards splitting carries for a major reason.

ESPN's Dan Graziano spoke to offensive coordinator Mike LaFleur, who indicated they will continue splitting carries to preserve Williams' health.

"I also asked the Rams about their running back usage, because I'm always looking out for my fantasy football readers. They've been rotating Williams and Corum drive-to-drive and will continue to do so. LaFleur told me he thinks they've been seeing the best version of Williams because he's fresher and not being asked to carry as much of the load, and the Rams have their sights set on January and February games and want everyone as fresh as possible," Graziano said.

It makes complete sense to use both Williams and Corum in this manner moving forward, especially to prepare for the playoffs. There is also the ankle injury that Williams suffered to take into account.

Granted, Rams head coach Sean McVay indicated that the ankle is not serious, but it is still smart to ensure Williams remains healthy.

Corum also has a 4.7 yards per carry average to pair with Williams' identical 4.7 yards per carry average. With both backs lining up and being productive, it would be foolish not to allow them to split carries.

Corum also has another chance on Sunday against the Cardinals to make the most of his split carries. Should he emerge with another solid performance, the Rams could be one of the most unstoppable teams on the run down the stretch.

It also helps to have insurance in case Williams or Corum go down with an injury, the other can step into the role of being a three-down back for the team.
