The Los Angeles Rams are predicted to make a trade for this Dallas Cowboys All-Pro wide receiver before the deadline.
The Los Angeles Rams are predicted to make a massive trade for a wide receiver ahead of the 2026 deadline.
Steve Ridings of Turf Show Times said the Rams could make a move for a premium wide receiver and mentioned that Dallas Cowboys star George Pickens could be on the block.
"If a rebuilding team makes a veteran receiver available around midseason, the Rams will almost certainly be involved in discussions. Look for the following names to be on the trade block between now and the trade deadline: George Pickens, Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison, AJ Brown, Jerry Jeudy, or Chris Olave.
"Do not be surprised if Los Angeles adds another big-name offensive weapon for a playoff push."
The Rams are still searching for a true WR3 ahead of the 2026 season.
While the Rams had arguably the best duo in the league last season with Puka Nacua and Davante Adams, it’s clear they need to add another pass catcher to take the offense to the next level.
Pickens could be that player under two conditions: if the Cowboys truly want to move on from him, and if the Rams are comfortable with the cost and personal fit.
The Rams are all about fit over reputation, and that would be no different if Pickens becomes an option. Pickens makes sense for the Rams from a pure talent perspective, checking a ton of boxes.
The 25-year-old has proven last season and throughout his short career that he is an explosive vertical threat, has incredible contested-catch ability, wins his man-coverage opportunities and is a boundary receiver with size, standing at 6-foot-3.
His potential addition would give Matthew Stafford another pass catcher who is more than capable of winning isolated matchups outside the structure of the play.
It's unclear if the Rams would even want to enter the Pickens business. On the other hand, it remains unclear if the Cowboys want to continue their partnership with Pickens.
The Cowboys franchise-tagged the former Georgia Bulldog without a long-term extension in place, making his future with the team uncertain. Naturally, that creates trade speculation that will indeed last till the deadline.
A ton of factors will determine whether or not the Rams look into a possible trade, including the price. If the price is too steep, like major draft compensation or multiple assets, it’s likely the Rams sit that one out.
Factors like contract implications and culture questions in Los Angeles could be the difference in potentially landing the Pro Bowl wide receiver.
This is projected to be an ‘all-in’ type of season for the Rams. If they believe Pickens could be a difference maker, they’ll do all they can to land him.
