Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua admitted that he is currently dealing with multiple injuries.
The Los Angeles Rams pulled off a huge win against the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday. After the dominant 35-21 win, multiple players spoke to the media to break down the victory.
One of those players was wide receiver Puka Nacua, who admitted that he is currently dealing with multiple injuries.
Nacua appeared on the injury report on Thursday after it was revealed that he had suffered a calf injury. After missing practice on Friday, the receiver was given a questionable label.
Nacua was able to shake off the injuries and made it into the game, securing 68 yards and one touchdown on eight receptions. There were many times in the game when he also picked up crucial first downs to extend drives.
Following the win, Nacua spoke to reporters to detail more about the calf injury that he has been dealing with.
"I just planted and felt something in my lower calf," Nacua said of the injury that he appeared on the report with.
Despite the calf injury hampering his practice week, he still made it into the game. However, it was also revealed that the receiver is also dealing with the hip injury that he sustained earlier in training camp.
"I definitely try to stay warm on the sidelines. Just trying to figure out how I can best feel out there and play the best I can," Nacua joked when asked about the hip injury that he is dealing with.
Nacua missed Week 2 due to the hip injury that was also related to a psoas injury that he sustained in training camp as well.
Despite the multiple injuries, Nacua continues to be a factor on the offense. He is 13th in the league with 484 receiving yards.
The Rams receiver is also in a contract year, and will be looking to receiver an extension in 2027.
There was talk about Nacua potentially getting a deal in 2026, but he ran into some off-field issues, including being involved in a lawsuit for an alleged biting incident.
Nacua went to treatment for those issues and is now working to put the best product on the field. So far this season, the injuries have not held the receiver back from showing off his usual skills.
Nacua has 286 yards and two touchdowns over the past three games. The calf and hip may have hampered his ability to get close to three-digit production, but he remains one of the most prolific pass catchers in the league.
The Rams have got to also notice the fact that he is continuing to push through injuries to make sure the team can get a win. Head coach Sean McVay would not allow him on the field if he were truly unable to play, but Nacua is showing plenty of fight in 2026.
