The Los Angeles Rams pulled off a blockbuster trade to land Trent McDuffie, prompting a strong reaction from Puka Nacua.

As the saying goes, "iron sharpens iron." That appears now to be the case for upcoming teammates, Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua and incoming cornerback Trent McDuffie.

The Rams engaged in the first blockbuster trade for the 2026 offseason, landing the former Kansas City Chiefs All-Pro. The trade led to a strong reaction from Nacua, who is clearly happy about the situation.

McDuffie is a two-time Super Bowl champion with the Chiefs and was named a First-team All-Pro in 2023 and Second-team All-Pro in 2022.

The Rams sent their No. 29 overall pick, a fifth-round pick, a sixth-round pick, and a third-round pick in 2027 to land the shutdown corner.

While the price for McDuffie might be arguably very high, the Rams get a young player who will do wonders for the secondary. Additionally, the cornerback can now help out the L.A. receivers in training camp and practice.

Nacua took to social media to reshare a callout of McDuffie from the 2019 season, but with a new reaction for the trade.

Instead of using words, Nacua simply added the sunglasses smiling emoji. The shared post from 2019 reads, "22!!!!! I see you Trent @trent_mcduffie."

Nacua has always been a player who wants to evolve and get better, and what better way to get better than by having to line up against one of the better corners in the league?

Through four seasons, McDuffie has appeared in 56 games, securing three interceptions, 34 passes defended, eight forced fumbles, 5.5 sacks, and 246 total tackles.

McDuffie has also given up a career 63.3 completion percentage and 95.5 passer rating to opposing quarterbacks, with four touchdowns.

McDuffie was ranked the 11th-best cornerback, with an overall grade of 75.6 on PFF. His 78.5 run defense grade is also ranked 11th.

The Rams needed a big boost in their secondary after the defense gave up a fourth-worst 276.0 receiving yards per game. Now, McDuffie can be the young piece that can lead to a rebuilt effort to stop teams like the Seattle Seahawks, and more.

Rams general manager Les Snead might also not be done, as the team still owns the No. 13 overall pick. That can be used for someone like LSU's Mansoor Delane, or be used to trade down and stack more draft capital for the future.

Either way, the Rams are going back to their 2021 season form, where they traded for quality players like Jalen Ramsey, resulting in a Super Bowl win.
