Rams Reveal Major News on Davante Adams' Recovery Timeline

The Los Angeles Rams are hopeful to have star wide receiver Davante Adams back sooner rather than later.

The 2026 NFL season has been one of adversity already for the Los Angeles Rams. Entering Week 8, the team has already gone through more than their fair share of major injury problems.

After Week 1, the Rams saw superstar pass rusher Myles Garrett go down with knee problems. He has yet to return to practice. That blow alone was enough to force the team to battle through.

Plenty of other injuries have occurred since Garrett's knee issue.

Most notably, Los Angeles saw Davante Adams go down late against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 6 with a hamstring injury. Immediately, it was clear that he was going to miss time.

Adams ended up rupturing his hamstring. He quickly underwent a procedure to clean out the injury. The recovery timeline was originally stated as somewhere between six to 10 weeks.

If Adams were to miss 10 weeks, he would miss most if not all of the remainder of the regular season. Thankfully, a good update has been shared about the situation from head coach Sean McVay.

On Wednesday, McVay said that the operation went "really well" and that Adams was feeling good and recovering well. He also noted that the team is expecting the veteran star to return on the shorter side of his timeline.

Assuming that ends up being accurate, Adams would return closer to the six-week mark.

Should he return exactly at six weeks, the 33-year-old wide receiver would come back to action on either November 25 against the Green Bay Packers or December 3 against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Having Adams back on the field is a must for the Rams' offense to play up to its full potential. In his absence, Matthew Stafford will lean heavier on superstar wideout Puka Nacua. Defense will have an easier time matching up with the Los Angeles offense without Adams on the field.

Prior to the injury, Adams played in six games. He had caught 30 passes for 480 yards and four touchdowns.

Adams is in the final year of the two-year contract he signed with the Rams. In his first season with the team, he racked up 60 receptions for 789 yards and 14 touchdowns.

Hopefully, more good news will be on the way for Adams over the next few weeks. For now, the news is all good and more optimistic than what the injury originally looked like.

Expect to continue hearing more updates on Adams' status as the season moves forward.
