Despite a disappointing end in the NFC Championship, it cannot be denied that 2025 was a successful season for the Los Angeles Rams.
Not only did they finish with a 12-5 record, but the Rams had the best offense in the NFL, averaging 394.6 yards per game and totaling 65 offensive touchdowns.
Naturally, people are pointing at the excellent play of players like quarterback Matthew Stafford and wide receiver Puka Nacua, a ton of credit needs to go to head coach Sean McVay and general manager Les Snead.
The duo have successfully worked together for nine seasons, successfully making the Rams one of the best teams in the league. And it looks like they'll be working together for even longer.
On February 2, 2026, the Rams organization announced that they will be extending both McVay and Snead's contracts for multiple years.
"As we enter their 10th season together, it is only fitting to reflect on the tremendous success Sean and Les have brought to this franchise, and the indelible impact they have made on Los Angeles and the NFL," Los Angeles Rams Owner/Chairman E. Stanley Kroenke said, per Stu Jackson of TheRams.com.
"They continue to embody the standard of this franchise to compete for championships, consistently delivering a product that our fans and city can be proud of. Their collaboration embodies the 'We Then Me' ethos we seek in our players, coaches and staff, and we are thrilled they will be leading the Los Angeles Rams for years to come."
McVay and Snead have found immense success during their near-decade as a team, winning the Super Bowl in 2021 and making it to the playoffs six times.
This season, McVay and Snead become the 15th head coach-general manager team to reach over 100 wins, totaling at 102 wins. They are the second duo in NFL history to reach 100 wins under the age of 40.
"I have a lot of gratitude, a lot of reflection of the appreciation for finishing up the ninth regular season here," McVay said on January 5. "You don't take that for granted."
"I love Les," McVay continued. "He does an excellent job and I'm really fortunate to be partnered up with him. I think our relationship and our collaboration has only gotten stronger as we've accumulated experience and that's rare in this business. It's not something that I take for granted."
Now, McVay and Snead are looking to take the success from the 2025 season and push it even further in 2026 for a Super Bowl victory.
