Rams walk-through injury report contains concern for Kevin Dotson cover image

The Los Angeles Rams had their initial walk-through practice, and the first estimation on the injury report contains concern for Kevin Dotson.

Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay offered some injury updates on several ailing starters on Monday, but the first estimation on a walk-through injury report was released.

The initial report does have some good news regarding Davante Adams, but there is a big concern for Kevin Dotson.

Of the injury report, shared by Adam Grosbard, Dotson was a DNP due to his ankle injury.

Dotson also had a DNP status through the practice week ahead of the Arizona Cardinals matchup, which led to him being ruled out. The hope is that he is upgraded to limited and a full participant later in the week.

McVay also indicated they would see how Jordan Whittington does this week after he left the Cardinals game with a knee injury. He received an estimated DNP status as well.

Though tight end Terrance Ferguson was added to the injury report on Friday and then ruled out, McVay indicated he would likely play on Saturday against the Carolina Panthers.

Josh Wallace is also dealing with an ankle injury and is DNP. Braden Fiske and Tyler Higbee are both limited with ankle injuries.

Adams and Quentin Laker both practiced in full.

Despite the Panthers coming into the playoffs with the worst record of any postseason team, they have shown they can be very dangerous. The Rams will need everyone available to ensure they can win and move to the Divisional Round of the playoffs.

Getting Adams and Lake back will be a big boost. Losing Dotson for another week will be troublesome.

The practice week will determine if the offensive lineman can heal in time for the first playoff game. There is far more hope for Ferguson, but not as much for Dotson.

With Ferguson being injured, the Rams relied heavily on Higbee, who came down with 91 yards and a touchdown in his first game back. Colby Parkinson also hauled in 36 yards and two touchdowns of his own.

Simply put, the Rams are set at the tight end position, but having a young upstart like Ferguson would clearly benefit the offense even more.
