Los Angeles Rams star wide receiver Davante Adams has a chance to reach a huge milestone in 2026.

Los Angeles Rams star wide receiver  Davante Adams has a chance to climb up the list of all-time receptions.

Entering the 2026 season, Adams needs only seven catches to match Rams legend and Hall of Famer Isaac Bruce at No. 15 overall in the list. Adams is currently No. 16 overall in the career catch list with 1,017 receptions.

If Adams gets seven more catches after passing Bruce, he would surpass Steve Smith Sr. at No. 14 overall. The veteran pass catcher will soon enter his second season in Los Angeles and his 13th overall.

His first season in Los Angeles was one to behold, as he recorded 60 receptions for 789 yards, averaging 13.2 yards per reception with 14 touchdowns (which led the league) in 14 games of action.

If Adams accomplishes another 60-catch season, he would enter the top 10 for all-time receptions. The 33-year-old has established himself as one of the best pass catchers of this generation.

What separates Adams from most pass catchers is his elite technique, route-running mastery that has left many defensive backs shaken up and his almost unmatched understanding of leverage and separation. At the peak of his powers, Adams could make even the best defenders look silly in between the lines.

Although Adams is far from his prime and is not as explosive as he was before, his game as tranlsated well due to his stellar technique that has yet to age. That is one of the major reasons why even in his later-career, Adams can still impact games at a high level.

In his first season with the Rams, he brought a new element to the offense, which is what helped guide Matthew Stafford to his first NFL MVP award. The Rams needed a true boundary “X” receiver.

While Puka Nacua eventually materialized to that throughout the season, that was a crucial need for the team entering the season. On top of that, Adams perfectly complemented Nacua.

They are different types of receivers, and the combination of both made the offense significantly harder to defend. It didn’t give a chance for the opposing defenses to overload coverage towards one player, which was one of the many reasons that made the Rams offense such an elite unit.

Now, as the 2026 season approaches, the Rams offense is expected to replicate or even surpass the success they had in 2025. All eyes will be on Los Angeles as they hold high expectations entering this fall after falling short of the grand prize last season.
