Former NFL and All-Pro offensive lineman Terron Armstead has said that the Los Angeles Rams will go undefeated in 2026.

The Los Angeles Rams are expected to be a shoo-in for the playoffs, but they are also the current Super Bowl favorites for obvious reasons. Having a roster full of top talent, including wide receivers Davante Adams and Puka Nacua, the reigning Defensive Player of the Year Myles Garrett, and so much more.

That's not to mention the return of Aaron Donald, which could very well push the Rams into a new level. In fact, the trades and acquisitions the team has secured this offseason have prompted former All-Pro offensive lineman Terron Armstead to double down on his claim that Los Angeles will go undefeated.

Armstead was a guest on "The Rick Eisen Show" in June, when he stated emphatically that the Rams could be undefeated if the roster stays healthy. Now, he is back on his podcast, "The Set," to explain exactly why he firmly believes in this claim.

Armstead had made the undefeated claim following the blockbuster trade that led to Garrett being sent to Los Angeles. Now, the former offensive lineman has doubled down on his claims.

Initially, Armstead goes into the fact that opposing offenses will have to deal with a defense that includes Garrett, Donald, and Byron Young, who secured 12 sacks en route to his first Pro Bowl nod.

Additionally, there are other plays like defensive linemen Kobie Turner, Braden Fiske, and Poona Ford to handle. Also, the rebuilt secondary is another problem to handle.

"Yeah, the Rams thought of that too, which is the which is why I'm standing firmly on the undefeated because got Trent McDuffie. I just watched this man at practice against the Saints' offense. Trent McDuffieyis like legit like real deal one of the top five corners in the league, bro. And it don't stop there. The safeties, they got the they got another corner from the Chiefs ... I don't I don't mean to be on a hype train. I'm not trying to scare nobody. I'm just talking ball. Like I'm not talking names. I'm talking football and the way that the game is played," Armstead said on "The Set."

The Rams made significant strides in adding the kind of talent on their roster that can push them through to the big show, but things still have to go right for them to make it through the grueling 17-game season.

On paper, Los Angeles has the kind of roster that should guarantee they will be highly competitive, but that does not mean they are untouchable. As Armstead put it, the roster has to stay healthy to ensure they can go on a significant run of wins, and reach being undefeated.

There are also several players who may or may not be ready for Week 1.

Nacua and offensive lineman Alaric Jackson are awaiting what the league may do in terms of a punishment regarding both of their offseason incidents.

Nacua still has a lawsuit to deal with related to an incident that took place on New Year's Eve, where he allegedly bit a woman. Jackson was also arrested due to a domestic violence incident, though he is not facing felony charges.

Both could potentially be suspended.

Additionally, Garrett is still dealing with knee soreness, and he has not participated in 11-on-11 drills in practice. Donald's Week 1 debut is also in question due to his need to ramp up to football activities.

Head coach Sean McVay stated that the plan is to fly to Australia with every player, but there are still some issues to sort out.

That said, the Rams will already be facing a tough opponent in Australia, as they take on the San Francisco 49ers in international territory.

While McVay and the team have been succesful abroad, their predicted undefeated record might also run into trouble right out of the gate.
