The Los Angeles Rams running back unit could be the best in the league in 2026 when all is said and done.

The Los Angeles Rams offense in 2025 was among the most elite in the league. The unit put up a league-best 30.5 points per game on average.

Los Angeles was a top-tier unit, finishing the season at the top in total yards and scoring offense. The Rams also ranked the best in the NFL in yards per game, averaging 394.6 yards.

One of the best aspects of the offense was the run game, powered by Kyren Williams and Blake Corum.

While Williams and Corum may not be household names just yet, they consistently offered a one-two punch on the ground.

Due to the strength of Williams and Corum as a rushing tandem, the Rams' rushing offense finished ninth in yards per rush (4.6), ninth in rush yards per game (124.7), and 12th in rush touchdowns per game (1.0).

Williams and Corum will continue to lead the charge, and there is a chance Los Angeles could incorporate their third running back on the depth chart, Jarquez Hunter.

Hunter didn't see the field much in 2025, but if the Rams want to once again be an elite unit on offense, it could benefit them to take some of the load off the passing game and the duo of Williams and Corum.

The Rams do a solid job in balancing the offense, with Williams and Corum sharing most of the load in the running game. Last season, they proved to be an elite duo. In Williams' fourth season as a Ram, the former Notre Dame Fighting Irish tallied 838 rushing attempts for 3,834 rushing yards, 36 touchdowns and averaged 4.6 yards per rushing attempt.

As for Corum, he wasn't much involved in the offense to start the season, but he saw an uptick in the back half of the season. The former third-round pick recorded 145 rushing attempts for 746 yards, six touchdowns and averaged 5.1 yards per attempt. The former Michigan Wolverine was stellar in 2025, and his role should only increase in 2026.

Matthew Stafford will look to carry the load; however, Sean McVay’s continued evolution on offense could be what takes the Rams from elite to truly unstoppable. At the end of the day, the run game may be the deciding factor in whether they reach that level.
